Chelsey Luger

Author & Wellness Advocate

Chelsey Luger is an author, wellness advocate, and community health educator.

She is Anishinaabe, an enrolled citizen of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa (maternal) and Lakota from the Cheyenne River and Standing Rock Sioux Tribes (paternal). She was born and raised in North Dakota and now resides in Arizona with her husband, Thosh Collins, and their children, who are citizens of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community.

Luger has written for The Atlantic, Self Magazine, The Huffington Post, Well + Good, Indian Country Today, High Country News and more. She is a former VJ, script writer, and producer for NowThis News. Luger has worked as talent, cultural consultant, producer, content creator, and copywriter for brands such as Nike, Faherty, Athleta, On Running, Hanna Andersson, Janie and Jack, B. Yellowtail, David Yurman, Abercrombie & Fitch, John Frieda, Oribe, Adidas and REI.

Luger and Collins founded Well For Culture, an Indigenous wellness initiative, in 2013. Since then, they have traveled to dozens of tribal nations, University campuses and corporate settings, offering workshops and trainings on health and wellness from a Native American perspective.

Luger & Collins are the co-authors of The Seven Circles: Indigenous Teachings for Living Well. Luger’s forthcoming non-fiction title, Native Home: Curating, Creating, and Cleansing Your Sacred Space will be published by HarperOne in 2026. Luger and Collins are represented by Jenny Stephens at Sterling Lord Literistic.
