Chelsey Luger is an author, wellness advocate, and community health educator.
She is Anishinaabe, an enrolled citizen of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa (maternal) and Lakota from Cheyenne River and Standing Rock (paternal). She was born and raised in North Dakota and now resides in Arizona with her husband, Thosh Collins, and their children, who are citizens of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community.
Luger has written for the Atlantic, Self Magazine, the Huffington Post, Well + Good, Indian Country Today and more. She is a former VJ, script writer, and producer for NowThis News.
Well For Culture, an Indigenous wellness initiative, was founded by Luger and Collins in 2013. Luger has worked as talent, cultural consultant, producer, content creator, and copywriter for brands such as Nike, Faherty, Athleta, On Running and REI.
Luger & Collins are the co-authors of The Seven Circles: Indigenous Teachings for Living Well. Luger’s forthcoming non-fiction title, Sacred Space: Transformative Wellbeing through Indigenous Home Teachings, will be published by HarperOne in 2026. Luger and Collins are represented by Jenny Stephens at Sterling Lord Literistic.
